Nannie Mae Strader, 79, went home to her Lord and Savior on Easter Sunday, April 1st, 2018 at Moses Cone Hospital surrounded by her family.
A funeral service will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Duane King officiating. A graveside committal will follow at Happy Home Church cemetery.
Nannie was born on March 30th, 1939 in Caswell County to the late Dan William and Effie Mae Robertson. She loved her family especially her dog Lilly and grandchildren. She will be remembered sitting on the porch, watching the birds while smoking her cigarrettes, drinking coffee and working word puzzles. Her family will miss her laughter and cooking especially her bannana pudding.
Along with her parents, Nannie was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Strader; Siblings, Leon Robertson and Shirley Frazier.
Survivors include her sons; Todd Strader and wife Dana, Mark Strader and wife Lauri; grandchildren, Jimmy Lee, Josh, Jenna, Joey and Justin Strader, Bridgett Barton and husband Dylan, Amanda Love and Samantha Crowder; great grandchildren, Morgan and Addison Love as well as Jacob Crowder; Brothers, Cecil Robertson, Larry Robertson, Roger Robertson, Mike Robertson and Robert Robertson; sisters, Louise Little, Carolyn Hall, Janice Vogler, Brenda Singleton and Glenda Pinnix as well as a large extended family.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 3rd, 2018 from 6-8 P.M. at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
