Nellie Williams Doss

Reidsville:   Nellie Williams Doss, 80, of 8020 U.S. Highway 158 West, died on Saturday, April 5, 2008, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8, at Wilkerson Funeral Home.   Entombment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Mrs. Doss was born in Rockingham County to the late Claude and Minnie Warren Williams.   She was a member of Wolf Island Primitive Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. T. Doss; brothers, Clyde, Roy and Joe Williams; sisters, Mary McGehee and Ruth Strader.   She is survived by her son, Tony Doss and wife, Debbie; daughter, Sharon Denny and husband, Teddy; grandchildren, Dana Smith and husband, Nick, Amber Tuttle and husband, Jonathan, Krystal Doss and fiancé, Billy Miller and Jordan Doss; expected great-grandchild due in November; sisters, Claudia Ward and Mildred Harrell; sisters-in-law, Hilda Loye and husband, Coolidge, Ruby Scearce and Betsy Previti; special life-long friends, Mary Ann Stanley and Virgie Loye; special friend caregiver, Frances Bloom; and special K-9 companion, “Roxi”. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Monday, April 7, at Wilkerson Funeral Home.   Other times the family will be at the home of Teddy and Sharon Denny, 8040 U.S. Highway 158 West.
