Nellie Brown Jones

Reidsville – Nellie Brown Jones, 71, of 221 Myrtle Lane, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Rockingham County Hospice Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Penn Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Puryear officiating. Interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Nellie was born in Rockingham County to the late Charlie and Jessie Tate Brown. She was a retiree of UNIFI, Inc. and a member of Penn Memorial Baptist Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Elizabeth Brown; brother, Edward Brown and sister, Lula Mae Taylor. Survivors include her husband, Cecil Jones; daughter, Dawn McCollum and husband, Chris; granddaughter, Chelsea McCollum; grandson, Tyler McCollum; sister, Carrie Massey and numerous loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7-9 pm. at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
