Nola Morris Shelton

Reidsville: Nola Morris Shelton, 71, of 281 Peach Tree Road, died on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Shelton was born in Rockingham County to the late John Ray Morris and Myrtle Wilkins Morris. She retired from American Tobacco Company and was a saved Christian and a member of Freedom Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, David Ray Morris. She is survived by her husband, Sammie Shelton of the home; children, Tony Robertson and wife, Kim of Eden, Holly McKown and husband, Eric of Clayton; stepson, Lee Shelton and fiancé, Robin of Wentworth; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Friday, January 23rd from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Other times the family will be at the residence. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, P.O. Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375 or Freedom Baptist Church, 471 Stone Road, Reidsville, NC 27320. The family would like to extend a special blessing for the care given to Nola by Robin Seaman.
