Reidsville: Norma Chilton Harris, 79 of 1165 Harrison Crossroad Loop, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Covington Wesleyan Church with Rev. Ralph Clayton officiating. Interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Norma was born in Rockingham County to the late Arthur Drewey Chilton and Evelyn Haney Chilton. She was a retiree of The American Tobacco Company with over 39 years and was a member of Covington Wesleyan Church where she took part in many activities. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Harris, Jr. and brothers, Drewey Chilton and Linwood Chilton. Survivors include her sons, Terry Harris and wife, Tammy and Gerald Harris and wife, Sandra; grandchildren, Adam Harris and wife, Kristin, Craig Harris, Tyler Harris and Jordan Harris; sister, Dorothy Wells; brother, Mike Chilton and wife, Patsy; brothers-in-law, Harold Harris and wife, Adean and Pete Harris and wife, Shirley; numerous nieces and nephews and many special friends. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 11, 2013 from 6-8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at her residence. At Norma’s request memorial contributions may be made to Covington Wesleyan Church, 3218 Vance Street Ext., Reidsville, North Carolina or Hospice of Rockingham County, PO Box 281, Wentworth, North Carolina 27375 Wilkerson Funeral Home is assisting the family and condolences may be sent to the family at www.wilkersonfuneral.com
