Norma Evans Pruitt

Norma Evans Pruitt, 68, passed away Friday, December 9, 2016 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce McBride officiating. Burial will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Norma was born on June 26, 1948 in Rockingham County to the late Lindsay Evans and Claudine Belcher Evans. She retired recently from the YMCA of Reidsville. Norma was a people person and loved going out to eat with her close friends and family at their favorite restaurants. She loved most of all being with her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Her hobbies included photography and coin collecting. Norma was known for being a loving caring person that always put others first. Along with her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, P.D. Pruitt. Survivors include her daughters: Casey P. Davis and husband, Brian of Ruffin and Millie A. Pruitt of Ruffin; grandchildren: Raegan Davis, Ford Davis, Josh Pruitt, Michelle Reid, Victoria Pruitt, Shivie Logan, B’ Blackwell; 5 great grandchildren; and sisters: Dale E. Aldridge and husband, Sammy and Cindy E. Finch and husband, Andy; Nieces: Elizabeth J. Aldridge, Abby L. Finch and fiancé Layland Hearp; Nephew, Daniel J. Aldridge and fiancée Rosanna Preciado; and great nephew, Carson J. Stanley. The family will receive friends from 6:00 till 8:00 PM Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, 2670 Worsham Mill Road, Ruffin.
