Reidsville: Norman Roland Crow, 68, of 1511 Mt. Carmel Church Rd., passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2015, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville with Dr. Harold Venable and Rev. Jerry Strader officiating. The burial will follow at Clearview Baptist Church Cemetery in Mayodan with military honors presented by the U.S. Army and the Rockingham County Honor Guard.
Norman was born on June 21, 1947, in Marshall County, WV, to the late Wiley Donald and Madelyn Kerns Crow. He was a faithful member of New Heights Baptist Church, where he was an usher. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After his service, he moved to Reidsville and met the love of his life, Peggy Richardson. He worked for GTE for 38 years. He has worked for Proctor and Gamble for the past 10 years. He was a Boy Scout Troop Leader and also a member of the Rockingham Fishing Club. Norman was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald.
Norman is survived by his wife, Peggy Crow; his children, Tonya Crow and Kimberly Crow; his grandchildren, Jimmy Lee Strader and Jenna Strader; a brother, Gerald Crow (Shirley); his special little buddy, Mason Turner; his grand dog, Maggie, and many friends and family members.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
