Ohma Faye Puckett Worley, 82, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Lakeview Memorial Park, with Pastor Matthew Johnson officiating.
Ohma Faye was born in Guilford County, NC, to the late Garnett Lee Puckett Sr. and Maggie Flack Puckett. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Worley; daughters, Tammy Neville and Heather Worley; son-in-law, Greg Martin; sister, Betty Lou Puckett; and brothers, Buck, Fred, and Pete Puckett.
She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Martin, Theresa Wilson (Lanny), and Tonya Hodgin (Jeff); son-in-law, Donnie Neville; grandchildren, Donnie Slate, Brandi Truitt (Josh), Taylor Thompson, Gracie Hodgin (Tyler), and Addington Hodgin; great-grandchildren, Lilly, Corey, and Joshua Truitt, Jr.; sister, Sue Cranford (Andy); as well as a large extended family.
Ohma Faye worked at the Sears and Roebuck mail-order plant for over 30 years and later retired from Guilford County Schools, where she served in the cafeteria. She was a caring and giving person who made sure everyone felt at home. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, and cooking for others, especially Sunday dinners, which were her way of expressing love and generosity.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregiver and friend, Chris Riggs, as well as Wendy, Evonda, Crystal, and Milli, and the wonderful staff of Ancora Compassionate Care.
