Olga Campbell Hoskins

Reidsville- Olga Campbell Hoskins, 85, of Reidsville, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2012 at Rockingham County Hospice Home.Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon, Monday, May 14, 2012 at Midway United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Scott and her nephew, Rev. Thurman Horney officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will see friends one hour prior to the service from 11:00-12:00 at the church.Mrs. Hoskins was born in Iredell County to the late Charles Fletcher and Troy Bell Campbell. She was a graduate of Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in Charlotte and also had degrees from Chapel Hill and Lenoir-Rhyne. Members of her graduating class of 1948 continue to celebrate their reunions for 60 years. She also worked for the Commission for the Blind in her early years and served on the State Board of Nursing. She was a member of Altrusa and received the Margaret Dolan award. Her travels took her to China with the Advisory Committee on Public Health and also on a medical missionary trip to Bolivia. She was a retiree of the Caldwell County Health Department with 20 years service as Director of Nursing. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lounette Vaden and 6 siblings.Survivors include her husband, C. Richard Hoskins; daughter Caroline Greene and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Jessica Vaden, Will Greene, Megan Greene and Katie Greene; sister, Peggy Horney and numerous nieces and nephews.Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, PO Box 281, Wentworth, North Carolina 27375Condolences may be sent to the family at www.wilkersonfuneral.com
