Ollie Mae Ware Pettigrew

Ollie Mae Pettigrew entered into rest on Tuesday, November 14, 2023

Ollie Mae was born on April 7, 1940 in Caswell County, NC to the late Elwood and Mildred Ware. A devoted wife and mother, Ollie Mae loved spending time with family; she especially loved being “Nanny” to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was of the Christian faith and was a member of Vance Street Baptist Church.  In her free time, Ollie Mae enjoyed spending time with friends, traveling to Gatlinburg, TN, shopping, reading and adding to her collectibles.  The loss of her presence will be deeply felt by all those who loved her..

In addition to her parents, Ollie Mae was preceded in death by her sister, Marie Ware.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of 64 years, Henry “Calvin” Pettigrew; daughters, Lisa Creery (Ken), Jill Martin (Marty); grandchildren, Hillary Bobbitt (James), Ian Creery (Katie), Lee Morris (Kaylah), Katie Morris (Derrick Dickens) along with 7 great grandchildren and a host of loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Wilkerson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 11:00am at Reidlawn Cemetery with Rev. Marvin Bowman officiating. At other times the family will be at the home, 162 VFW Road, Reidsville.
