Reidsville - Ollie Mae Southard Collins, 97, of 2612 South Scales Street, died Thursday, December 1, 2011, at Penn Nursing Center.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Collins officiating. The interment will follow in the Greenview Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.Mrs. Collins was born in Rockingham County to the late Charlie and Nita Terrell Southard. She was a longtime and faithful member of Reidsville Alliance Church and retired from Chase Bag Company and Reidsville Laundry. Her family says that she was the BEST cook in the world! In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Floyd W. Collins; her son, Robert Collins; her great grandson, Dakota Soloman; two brothers; two sisters and son-in-law, Rex Roberts.She is survived by her sons, Tommy Lee Collins and wife, Malinda of Colorado and Leonard Wray Collins of Reidsville; her daughters, Kathryn "Kat" Collins Combs and husband, Calvin of High Point and Virginia "Ginger" Collins Roberts of Lynchburg, VA; 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.Memorial Contributions may be made to the I Have a Dream Foundation, 3012 Sterling Circle, Suite 200, Boulder, Colorado 80301, www.ihadboulder.org
