Opal Vaughn Jones

Reidsville - Opal Vaughn Jones, 92, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Countryside Manor in Stokesdale.Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, June 25, 2012 in Evergreen Memory Gardens with Rev. Lyle Milligan officiating.Mrs. Jones was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late John Marshall and Margaret Flanagan Vaughn and was a homemaker. She was a longtime member of Baptist Temple Church and a member of the Home Demonstration Club. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Jones, Jr.; son, J.R. Jones and great grandson, Miles Dotson. Survivors include her son, Roger Jones and wife, Betty of Reidsville; her daughter, Ann Mock and husband, Tom of Asheville; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister, Susan Lindsey of Richmond, Va. and brother-in-law, Paul Jones of Hillsville, Va. There will be no formal visitation. Wilkerson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
