Pamela G. Slaydon

Pamela G. Slaydon, 68, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018 at the Rockingham County Hospice Home. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Vaughn Williams officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Pam was born in Rockingham County to Hortense Slaydon Hopper and the late E. E. “Beanie” Slaydon . She was a1968 graduate of Wentworth High School and a graduate of Applachian State University with a degree in Education. She was a retired elementary school teacher and taught most of her career in southeastern part of the state. She is survived by her mother, Hortense Slaydon Hopper; sisters, Dana S. Taylor and husband, Daryl, and Lauran S. Garst; nephew, Gavin Taylor. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, P.O. Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.
