Pansy Huskey Rudd

Reidsville: Pansy Huskey Rudd of Reidsville went home into the comfort of her Lord and Savior Thursday night, February 26, after a long illness. She had turned 90 in January 2015. Pansy was the third of the four children of Charlie B. Huskey and Birdie Tate Huskey of Caswell County. Preceding her in passing are her beloved three siblings, Gatha Huskey, Mary Huskey Phillips, and Lillie Huskey McKinney. She was also preceded in death by a niece and nephew, Linda Kay Phillips of Hopewell, VA, and Charles Broadus Phillips of Reidsville. She is survived by her only child, a cherished daughter, Dr. Victoria Walker Massey of Greensboro; a sister-in-law, Mary Brooks Huskey; much loved nieces and a nephew, Lynette McKinney McCormick and husband, Frank of Burlington; Denise McKinney Mabe of Chapel Hill; and Grandford Stedman McKinney and wife Teresa, of Reidsville; Dare McKinney and husband, Everitt of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Bernice Page Phillips of Reidsville . She is also survived by several grand nieces and grand nephews. Also passing before her was her husband, W. D. Rudd, Jr., of Reidsville. She is survived by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, whom she loved as she loved her own. Pansy graduated from Cobb Memorial High School in Caswell County. She worked for many years in Customer Service at Burlington House in Reidsville. Funeral services will be at the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel on at 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 3, 2015. A visitation will immediately follow the service.
