Patricia Bishop Comer

Browns Summit- Patricia "Patsy" Bishop Comer, 70, of 473 Guilrock Lane, died Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County.Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, August 12, 2011 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 2905 N. O'Henry Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27405 with Rev. Bart Friddle officiating. The burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park.Mrs. Comer was a native of Guilford County, and the daughter of the late Grady and Evelyn Bates Bishop. She was retired from Guilford County and was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. She was committed to her Christian faith and very intentional to have lunch with her class mates from the Monticello High School graduating class of 1958. Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Comer.She is survived by her brothers, Fred Bishop and wife, JoAnne, Joe Bishop and wife, Malissa and Frank Bishop and wife, Camille all of Browns Summit; numerous nieces and nephews; and her special companion, her dog, Mousie.The family will see friends from 7-9 PM on Thursday evening at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at Joe and Malissa's home (471 Guilrock Lane, Browns Summit).In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, PO Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.
