Patsy "Pat" Brock Sergent

Patsy “Pat” Sergent, 70, of 130 Mamie Lane, went home to be with The Lord on Wednesday, April 3, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Rock of Ages Baptist Church with Pastor Doug Bray, Pastor David Hatcher and Pastor John Dorsey officiating. The burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at Missy and Shaun’s home (113 Mamie Lane). Pat was born in Harlan, KY to the late Charlie and Gladys Brock. She moved to Rockingham County and was formerly employed with Bristol Myers Squibb. She was a pillar of the church, a longtime and faithful member of Rock of Ages Baptist Church. Pat always put the needs of others first! Her courageous and generous spirit was obvious everywhere she went. We remember her always saying, “Put it in God’s hands” or “Keep looking up, God Loves You!” She will be deeply missed by all of us!!! Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her grandson, Matthew Elkins; her brother, Paul Brock and her sister, Charlsie Mills. She is survived by her husband, Shelby Sergent of the home; her daughter, Missy Clark and husband, Shaun; her son, Iran Elkins and wife, Crystal; her grandchildren, Samantha Elkins, Jacob Elkins and Elesa Clark all of Reidsville; her sister, Brenda Cook; her brother, Doug Brock and wife, Geraldine; her special niece, Teresa all of Ohio; a large extended family; her church family and many friends.
