Paul Andrew “Andy” Parker 

April 16, 1961 – July 21, 2023 (age 62)

Parker, Paul Andrew, 62, of Reidsville, NC passed from this life to the next on Friday, July 21, 2023, at the Gibson House Residential Hospice of Rockingham County after a long illness.

Born in Albany, NY, Andy graduated with Honors from Bethlehem Central High School. After moving to Knoxville, TN he received an Associate Degree in electronic technology from Tennessee Institute of Technology. Andy worked in the automotive and satellite television industries for many years and ultimately opened his own business, American Satellite, in Knoxville. Andy relocated to Reidsville, NC in 2015 whereupon he turned his life around, becoming sober and embarking on a new career as a Certified Nursing Assistant to shut-in elderly clients. He was thereafter a staff member at the REMMSCO substance abuse recovery homes in Reidsville for many years. All who knew Andy found him to be a fun-loving, very caring person who loved his Heavenly Father, music, helping others, the outdoors, and AA.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother Beverly Parker, his aunts Joan, Sally and Bonnie, sibling Pam, and his grandparents Elizabeth, Mabel and Perry. He leaves to cherish his memories his father Robert Parker, stepmother Shirley Parker, son Dr. Ben Cochran, daughter-in-law Cassie Cochran, grandchildren Kaylee, Benson, Emmalyn and Charlie, siblings Cindy, David, Jon and Tina, nieces Kelly and Amber, nephew Patrick, dearest friend Kathleen Simpson, and many, many church and AA friends.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Sunnycrest Church of Christ in Reidsville, NC.
