Paul Arlo Petty

Paul Arlo Petty, 78, of Elon, NC passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at the Hospice House of Rockingham County after 15 years of declining health.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Danview Cemetery in Eden, NC.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of Dovie Wilson, 569 Wade Gwynn Road, Elon, NC.

Paul was born in Rockingham County to the late David Arlo and Willie Mae Petty. He retired from Lorillard Tobacco with 30 years of service. He loved his many animals and enjoyed raising a garden every year.

Along with his parents, Paul is preceded in death by brothers, Jack Lee Petty and David Milton Petty.

Paul is survived by sister, Bonnie Adkins (Larry); brothers, Harold Petty, DL Petty (Cindy), Kenneth Petty (Marsha), Sam Petty (Lola), Hank Petty, Troy Petty (Alicia), Leonard Petty (Margaret); niece, Dovie Wilson; nephew, Mike Wilson; along with several other well-loved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Davita Dialysis, especially Dr. Charles, as well as the staff at the Hospice House of Rockingham County.
