Paul Sharp

Reidsville: Paul Sharp, 79, of 603 Barnes St., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 13, 2015, at Hospice of Rockingham County. A graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, August 16, 2015, at Comer’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Smithey officiating. Paul was born on July 19, 1936, in Rockingham County, to the late Arthur and Mary Kendrick Sharp. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a spiritual and generous person who loved the Salvation Army and helping people. He also enjoyed traveling, Flea Markets and gardening. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Judy Sharp, a grandson, Paul Lewis Sharp and was the last of his siblings. He is survived by his wife, Helen Sharp; his children, Desiree Beattie and husband Steve, Randy Sharp, Greg Sharp and wife Barbara Price, Alex Sharp and Chris Sharp and wife Laura; his step-sons, Danny Bibee, Timothy Bibee and Rocky Bibee; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Saturday, August 15, 2015, at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army.
