Paul Samuel Stewart

Paul Samuel Stewart, 69, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Greenview Cemetery with Pastor Chris Cox officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 20th, 2025, at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Jaime Williams.

Paul was born in Rockingham County to the late Samuel and Louise Stewart. He was a graduate of Appalachian State University and remained a lifelong fan. He worked at Reidsville Grocery for many years and eventually retired from Layman Distributing. Paul could be found almost daily at The Elks Lodge and loved to cut up with his many lifelong friends there. Paul was an avid sports fan and could quote the particulars of any game. He had a photographic memory and never forgot anything. He was well liked and respected by all who encountered him.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by, his beloved sister, Joyce Stewart.

He is survived by his loving Fiancé of 24 years, Roxie Ann Somers and her children, Shannon Goins (Chuck), Jaime Williams (Dale), Lisa Coffer (Doug); grandchildren, Ashley Goins, Jordan Goins, Josh Goins, Dakota Williams, Dalton Williams, Presley Coffer and as Paul would say “too many great grandchildren to count”.
