Paul Junior Wagoner

Ruffin: Paul Junior Wagoner, 66, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2014 at Wesley Long Hospital. Graveside services will take place on Monday, December 1st, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Greenview Cemetery with Rev. Reuben Campbell officiating. Visitation will take place on Sunday evening at Wilkerson Funeral Home from six to eight PM. At other times the family will be at their home. Mr. Wagoner was born in Rockingham County to his late parents Paul and Estelle Craddock Wagoner. Paul was a hardworking farmer who farmed with Lee Kimbro for about 50 years. He genuinely loved his family, his grandchildren and his animals, especially a pet goose “Goosy Goose” and his dog “Moe Joe.” Paul was found mostly enjoying the outdoors and was an avid Duke and Yankee fan. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Shaffer, his grandson Levi Garrett Wagoner, a sister, Robin Huffman, and brother, Numa Lee Wagoner, Paul is survived by his wife of 39 years, Ernestine Wagoner, sons: Richie Wagoner, Danny Wagoner and wife Mandy of Ruffin; daughters: Paula Conner and husband Jimmy, Tracey Dishmon and husband Toby, and Crystal Bailey and husband Brian of Eden; twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way. Also survivors include three brothers: David, Lewis, and Bobby Wagoner and a lifelong friend Curtis Purdue.
