Pauline Wall Robertson

Pauline Wall Robertson, 93, of 1475 Ashley Loop, Reidsville, NC went home to be with the Lord on October 15, 2021. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM on Monday, October 18, 2021, at Mount Hermon Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Dennis Chapmon and Rev. Grover Holder will be officiating the service. The family asks that all attendees wear a mask and social distance.

Pauline was born in Rockingham County to the late Jesse and Nellie Moore Wall. Pauline graduated from Wentworth High School in 1947 with 12-year perfect attendance. After graduation she went to work for Superintendent Allen Lewis. She then worked in the front office at American Tobacco Company and later was a secretary to Mr. Ottis Koontz at Fieldcrest Mills. In 1954, with the birth of her second child, she became a stay-at-home mother to her two children.

Pauline married her high school sweetheart, Herbert Tuttle Robertson in 1948. Pauline and Herbert loved to travel on bus tours with friends. They enjoyed annual trips to Myrtle Beach with family. She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

A member of Mount Hermon Baptist Church for 70 years, she served in many areas. She sang in the choir and was a member and director of the Woman’s Missionary Union. She also worked with the Children’s Choir and Vacation Bible School. Pauline enjoyed visiting and taking elderly neighbors to doctor’s appointments and to run their errands.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Nellie Wall, daughter Diane R. Springs, sister Doris W. Smith, brother-in-law R.M. Smith Jr., and sister-in-law Melinda Jones Wall. Surviving is her husband of 73 years Herbert T. Robertson, son Donnie Robertson (Beth), son-in-law Elvin Springs; grandchildren Chris Ratliff, Carrie R. Tuck (Grandy), Leigh R. Lauretta (Nick), Kamron Robertson; great-grandchildren John Ratliff, Zinn Lauretta, Asa Lauretta, Ava Tuck, Willow Tuck; special friend Marshall Ratliff, brother W.A. Wall and special nieces and nephews.

Pauline will be at Wilkerson Funeral Home Saturday afternoon from 1:00 to 5:00 PM and also on Sunday from 9:00 – 2:00 PM.

The family is glad to receive friends and family outside at the home of Donnie and Beth Robertson, 3020 Ashley Loop in Reidsville.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations are made to Hospice of Rockingham County or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
