Penny Page Blakely

Penny Page Blakely joined her husband in heaven on Monday, December 5, 2022, at Annie Penn Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Faith Baptist Church in Reidsville with Pastors Lonnie Sorrell and Larry Blakely officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church, from 11am-11:45am.

Penny was born on January 8, 1945, in Reidsville, NC to the late, Mildred and P.T. Page Jr. She grew up in Reidsville and later married her husband, Sammy Blakely, on January 24, 1959. Together they raised four rambunctious children who all loved the outdoors.  Penny had an adventurous soul and would often do things like riding go-carts, camping, mountain trips, skeet shooting, scrapping with the kids and grandkids, and fishing. She read her bible everyday and had a strong faith and belief in the Lord.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Sammy Blakely; and sister, Wanda Stone. She is survived by her children, Randy Blakely, Tammy McCraw, Todd Blakely, Tracey Blakely; grandchildren, Jessica Bruce and Kevin, T.J. Blakely and wife, Dustin Hanks and Jessica, Josh Blakely and Angel, K.C. Blakely, Nikki Brown and Matt; 11 great-grandchildren of which she had special relationships with Kayleigh Blakely, Alex “A.J.” Hanks, Clairah Crouse, and Braeden Blakely; brother, Tommy Page and Barbara.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of the Annie Penn ICU who took care of Mrs. Blakely over the last several days.
