Reidsville– Geneva Perkins Gammon, 85, of 1749 C South Scales Street, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at her home.A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm on Sunday, February, 20 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. Mrs. Gammon was born in Pittsylvania County, VA to the late Elisha and Willie Mae Somers Gammon. She was a retiree of Fieldcrest Mills. Geneva was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness and enjoyed teaching people about the Bible and lived in hopes of living a paradise on Earth. Among her other interest she enjoyed making quilts. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Jennings Gammon; two sons, Austin and Robert “Bob” Gammon; nine brothers and sisters. Survivors include her children, Clint Gammon and wife, Marlene, Rose Mary Gammon East both of Reidsville and Elva Marlow of Texas; 8 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; two sister-in-laws and many spiritual brothers and sisters.The family will receive friends from 7 – 9 pm on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Wilkerson Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Gammon’s honor to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 116 McCoy Road, Reidsville, NC 27320
