Rachel Anne Dove

Reidsville: Anne Snider Dove, 82, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 26th , 2014 at Annie Penn Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 1st, 2014 at one o’clock at Woodmont United Methodist Church, 1926 Richardson Drive, Reidsville, with Rev. Morris Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park in Greensboro, NC. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from six until eight o’clock at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter Karen Jones. Mrs. Dove was a native of Rockingham County. She was born on February 6th, 1932 to the late William and Nellie Sue Smith Snider. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Anne enjoyed cooking and being with her family. She loved gardening and had an extraordinary “green thumb.” Anne was a strong independent woman but very thoughtful and compassionate. She was an excellent caretaker who helped care for her parents and her sisters. She was preceded in death by her sisters: Bertha Cox, Nealie Webster, Lennis Dodson, Maggie Carter, Betty Weber; brother William “Teevie” Snider and former husbands: John W. Draper and Willard J. Dove. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Jones and husband, Horace of Reidsville; her son, John Randal (Randy) Draper and wife, Paulette of California; grandchildren: Tara J. Fitzgerald and husband, Jeremy, Christopher Jones and wife, Gail and Jess Draper; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Omie Thompson, Sadie Garrison, Patty Hopkins, Mary Brann and brother Jerry Snider; and a special friend, Jimmy Webb. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woodmont United Methodist Church, 1926 Richardson Drive, Reidsville, North Carolina 27320.
