Rachel Ward Stanley

Reidsville: Rachel W. Stanley, 82 of 134 Lee Lane, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm on Monday, October 12, 2015 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Rachel was born in Orange County to the late John Ira Ward and Etta Truett Ward. She was a retiree of Consumer Fiance Company and attended College Park Baptist Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Michelle Lester. Rachel was a loving mother and grandmother. Survivors include her daughters, Kathy Lester and husband, Danny, Tonia Vincent and husband, Ted and Patricia Saunders; grandchildren, Joey Lester and wife, Kristin, Cynthia Saunders, T.J. Vincent and Tanner Vincent; great grandchildren, Alex Willard, Tyler Lester, Cheyenne Lester and Autumn Lester; brothers, John Ira Ward, Jr.and wife Hazel; special friend, Carolyn Bean; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening at Wilkerson Funeral Home from six till eight PM. Other times the family will be at the residence.
