Ralph Cecil Moore

Reidsvillle: Ralph Cecil Moore, 82, of 2087 US Bus 29, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 15 , 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Reidsville Alliance Church with Pastor Peter Dodge officiating. The burial will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens with Military honors performed by the Rockingham County Honor Guard. Ralph was the son of the late William Bryant and Carrie Belle Carter Moore. He was a lifelong member of the Reidsville Alliance Church. He worked with Chase Bag for over 41 years and after it’s closing, at age 58, he went back to finish his GED to ensure the financial security for his family. He finished his career and retired from the Reidsville Screenprint Company. He loved gardening but his first love was his family, including his wife, daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Stone Moore; his grandson, Jami Ryan Moore; three brothers and one sister. Ralph is survived by his daughters, Pamela Jayne Moore of the home, Angelia Moore Blackstock and husband, Dwight and Christy Moore Mathewson and husband, Matt all of Reidsville; grandchildren, Jerrick, Desiree and Christian Blackstock, Amanda Decker, Nathan and Hannah Matthewson; great grandchildren, Adrian Herbin, Jr., Bryce Aiden and Cadence Nicole Moore and their mother, LaToya Marie Taylor; sisters, Mary Alice Moore Page of Reidsville and Virginia Moore McKay and husband, Junior of Marston, NC; brothers, Donald Moore and wife, Connie of Rural Hall, NC and a large extended family. The family will receive friends Friday, February 17, 2017 from 6-8:00 pm at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at his home.
