Ralph Wilbur Ware

Ralph Wilbur Ware, Jr., 81, of 304 Pegram Street, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Moses Cone Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 7, 2016, at East Side Baptist Church, with Rev. Gene Davis officiating. The family will see friends one hour prior to the service from 1-2 PM at the church. Interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Wilbur was born in Pittsylvania County, to the late Ralph Wilbur Ware, Sr. and Dora Bell Ware and was a veteran of the US Army. He was a retiree of Unifi with 25 years service and a member of East Side Baptist Church and a former deacon and trustee. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Doris Ware; daughter, Peggy Rierson; sons, Sammy Ware and wife, Renee and Ronald Ware; grandchildren, Jeana Rierson, Randi Allen and Elijah Ware; great grandchildren; Wyatt Rierson, Peyton Orr and Penelope LaVonne and goddaughter, Wendy Ragan.
