Ramonita Medina Agosto, born March 7, 1932, in Adjuntas, P.R. Beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She made Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior early in life and passionately devoted herself to the study of His word. She shared the word of God every chance she got. She left Puerto Rico and moved to Chicago, Il. There she met and married Harry, her husband of 70 years. Her love for the word of God led her to teaching Sunday school classes as well as teaching Bible to many student ministers at Spaulding Ave., Church of God, Mission Board in Chicago, Il. She was also a successful businesswoman, building and sustaining a business in the Humboldt Park area of Chicago, Edens Flower Shop.
Ramonita leaves behind her beloved husband, Harry Agosto Maldonado, daughters, Damaree Agosto, Sandra A. Agosto, Deborah Agosto and her son, Harry Agosto Jr.
She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, William M. Velazquez, Sandee M. Velazquez, Shanda L. Schmidt, Sarah N. Montes, Matthew N. Montes and Brandt Agosto Medina.
Ramonita’s great grandchildren are Koen, Carlos, Shane, Korben, Theresa, Azima, Yiramiyah and Yashua.
She also leaves behind a beloved sister, Catalina Medina Irizarry as well as numerous nieces, nephews and in laws.
She is preceded in death by her parents and youngest sister. Manuel Medina, Maria Esperanza Yrizarry and Ileana Medina Yrizarry.
