Ray C. Ellington

Ruffin: Ray C. Ellington, 71, of 2871 Guerrant Springs Road, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 14, 2015, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. A graveside funeral service will be held at 4:00 P.M., Sunday, August 16, 2015, at Happy Home Congregational Christian Church Cemetery with Rev. Bland Leebrick officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Ray was born on March 25, 1944, in Danville, VA, to the late Cecil Woodrow and Lettie Page Ellington. He graduated from Virginia Tech University in 1966. Ray served in the U.S. Army. He retired as a letter carrier from the Reidsville Post Office. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Pat Ellington; his son, David Ellington and his grandson and best buddy, DJ Ellington.
