Raymond Carol Woodson

Raymond Carol Woodson “Whitey”, 63, passed away March 16, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, March 18, 2018, at Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Redman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will take place one hour prior to the service at the church from 2:00 till 3:00 PM. A reception will follow the services in the fellowship hall at the church. Raymond was born on July 26, 1954 in Pittsylvania County, VA to the late Douglas “DY” Woodson and Wilson Crumpton Woodson. He worked at L. W. Hodges Service Station for 26 years and Caswell County ABC Board for 20 years. Besides his jobs, he loved his church, Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church working and doing things with Larry Overby for his Lord. He loved his garden and sharing it with friends and family. Raymond was a loving and hard-working man. His grandkids was his world. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brother, Douglas Woodson, Jr. and brothers-in-law: Wayne Gauldin and Lewis Wagoner and son-in-law Robert Boyd Cantrell. Survivors include his wife of the home, Deborah Cayton Woodson; daughters: Amanda Woodson Cantrell (and special friend, Lisa Allen) and Shannon Carol Warden; granddaughter, Skyler Cantrell; grandson, R. J. Cantrell; sisters: Kate Earles and husband, Louis, Patricia Tucker and husband, Ronald and Linda Wagoner; and brother, Thomas Woodson, Sr. Memorial contributions may be made to Wilkerson Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses, 1909 Richardson Drive, NC 27320.
