Rebecca Turpin Robertson

Reidsville – Rebecca Turpin Robertson, 73, of 330 Narrow Gauge Road, passed away on Wednesday , December 9, 2009 at Penn Nursing Center.Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 13, 2009 at the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Charles Hutchins and Rev. Michael Tillman officiating. Interment will follow in Greenview Cemetery.Mrs. Robertson was born in Rockingham County to the late Wade Lillard Turpin and Inez Walker. She was retired from Rockingham Community College as Book Store Manager and was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church where she had served on various committees and was a former teacher of the Louise Parker Sunday School Class. Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were husband Alvis Abernathy Robertson and a brother Johnny Turpin. She is survived her sons, Randall Wade Robertson and wife, Barbara of Reidsville and Tommy T. Robertson of the home; grandchildren Johnny Earles of Fort Worth, Texas and Jennifer Medley of Roanoke, Texas; great grandchidren Max Cooper and Taylor Medley; one brother Jerry Turpin and wife, Elinda of Reidsville; sister-in-law Vernita Turpin of Hawaii.The family will receive friends Saturday, December 12 at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6:30 – 8:30 PM and other times at the home of Randy Robertson, 212 Roberson Lane.The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Hawkins and the caregivers at Penn Nursing Center.Memorials may be made to the Building Fund at Main Street United Methodist Church, P.
