Burlington – Rebecca Willis Maya Underwood, 70, of 507 Everette Street Apt.113B, died Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at Hospice Home of Burlington. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m., Friday, June 27, 2008, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Gary Loftis and Elder David Underwood officiating.   Interment will follow in Lick Fork Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Underwood was born in Caswell County to the late William Henry and Mary Louise Butts Willis and had lived in the Burlington area for the past 35 years. She was a retiree of Tower Hosiery Mill and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed decorating her home, cooking, entertaining and was a devoted mother who dearly loved her children and grandchildren. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Homer Jeffrey Underwood; brother, Douglas Thomas Willis and sister, Judy Willis.     Survivors include her son, Jason Floyd Underwood and wife, Tammy; daughters, Jennifer Underwood Echols and husband, Jimmy, Janet Lynn Potter and husband, Jamie; grandchildren, Tabbatha, Dylan, Erik, Alan and Crystal; brothers, Robert, Roy, Teddy, Ronnie, William and James Willis; sisters, Doris Pierce, Mary Stowe, Nancy Willis, Linda Willis and Betty Willis. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Thursday, June 24, from 7-9 PM. and other times at Jennifer’s home, 8361 NC Hwy.150,  Reidsville, NC.
