Reidsville: Rev. Elbert Sterling Paschal, a true servant of the Lord, passed away early Thursday morning May 26, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.
A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Christian Fellowship Church at 3:00 PM with Dr. Charles Kelly, Rev. Howard Thompson and Rev. James Easter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Rev. Paschal was born in Rockingham County to the late Loftin Sterling Paschal and Lula Bell Somers Paschal. He was a faithful servant of the Lord serving First Assembly of God Church in Eden for 39 years. Rev. Paschal was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He built churches both physically as a carpenter and spiritually as a pastor. He always had compassion for people and it showed in his ministry.
Rev. Paschal is survived by his wife of 65 years, Louise Paschal of the home; two daughters: Nancy Hall and husband, Neal; and Wanda Hill and husband, Keith, both of Reidsville; grandchildren: Jeremy Crouch, Cassie Burchell and Kimberly Brooks; brothers: Calvin Paschal and wife, Peggy; and Joe Paschal and wife, Christine; and a sister, Linda McKinney and husband, Bill.
The family will receive friends Saturday, May 28 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home; other times at the home.
