Revelle Farmer Bailey

Reidsville: Revelle Farmer Bailey, 87, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Sandy Brown officiating. Interment will follow Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Revelle was born on October 13, 1928, in Rockingham County, to the late Richard and Lina B. Farmer. She was a member of the Red Hat Club and the Green Thumb Garden Club. She was a faithful member of Evangelical Methodist Church. She loved to fish and loved her flowers and also was an amazing cook. She was affectionately known as the “Card Lady”. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Bailey; three sons, Charles Eddie Adams, Donald Lee Bailey and Steven Landis Bailey; a granddaughter, Angela Hope Howard and her eleven siblings. Survivors include her son, Charles Bass and wife Susan of Port St. Lucie, FL; her daughters, Barbara Vincent of the home and Susan Walker of Welcome, NC; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandson on the way, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Home of Rockingham County, PO Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375 or to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
