Rhonda Jean Hubbard Heffinger

Rhonda Jean Hubbard Heffinger, 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.

A graveside inurnment will take place at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 2, 2024, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jay Willard officiating. 

Rhonda was born in Guilford County to the late Samuel Frank Hubbard Sr. and Donna Holbrook Hubbard.

Rhonda graduated from Wentworth High School in 1954. She was a hard working mother of 5, grandmother of 5 and great grandmother of 5. Her greatest joy in life came from her grand children and great grandchildren, who all called her MawMaw.

She worked at Reidsville Finance Company, Fieldcrest, Sears and ran a newspaper route to help provide for her family. She also worked at the Golden Corral and Vanity Fair Corporation from where she retired. 

 She instilled this hard working ethic in all of us and we are forever grateful.

We have all inherited various traits from here, gardening, kindness to animals and shopping. We all have her sense of humor as well. 

She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Reidsville NC and although she could not attend as much as she wanted to in the last year, her heart was there.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Steven Heffinger.

Rhonda is survived by her children, Vicki Heffinger Lynn (Jim Fargis), Randall Heffinger (Janel), Lisa Heffinger, Sharon Heffinger Dickens (Craig); grandchildren, Carly, Jade, Melodie, Ryne, Drew; great grandchildren, Shadow, JJ, Jordon, Dallas and Eva; brother, Samuel Frank Hubbard Jr. (Bettie) as well as a large and loving group of extended family and friends. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ancora Compassionate Care at PO BOX 281 Wentworth, NC 27375. 

Revelations 21:4

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

The family will receive friends and family after the service at the home of Vicki Lynn, 123 Clifton Dr., Reidsville.
