Richard Harold Martin

Richard Harold Martin, 81, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Zachariah Harris, III officiating. The family will see friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00AM til 11:00AM. Richard was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky to the late Richard Valentine Martin and Frances Earle Buchanan Martin. He was a veteren of the United States Army and a Medical Sales Representative. A former member of the North Carolina Bear Hunters Association and an avid hunter, he had a great love for his dogs. Richard’s greatest love was for his family and will be greatly missed by them. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Martin. Survivors include his wife Margaret Martin; son, Jeff Martin and wife, Leigh Ann; daughters, Karen Harris and husband, Zach and Jennifer Howerton and husband, Todd; grandchildren, Kara Martin, Keith Martin, Brittany Morrill, Ryan Morrill and Logan Howerton; sisters, Judy Hatcher and Frances Strickler and husband, Dewey. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan’s Purse, 701 N.
