Robert "Bobby" Duke Setliff

Robert “Bobby” Duke Setliff, 70, of Reidsville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 6, 2023.

A funeral service will be held at Growing Oaks Community Church on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 11:00 A.M with Dr. Greg Robertson and Rev. Josh Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Reidlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 8, 2023, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Bobby was born in Rockingham County to the late Duke Irvin Setliff and Sarah Beatrice Soyars. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Gilbert Amos and Buford Scott.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Alice Setliff; children, Abe Setliff (Kamryn), Jacob Setliff (Madonna); grandchildren; Kaylee, Josie, Khloe, Hartlyn, Lainey; sisters, Ruth Scott, and Judy Perkins; brother-in-law, David Amos along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a loving extended family.

Bobby spent 47 years on the adventure of a lifetime with his loving wife Alice. He was a protective loving brother to sisters Judy and Ruth. He was known as Pops to his boys and adored his daughter in laws as his own children. His most cherished role was that of Papa to his 5 grand girls whom he loved with all his heart. Bobby enjoyed making music with his good friend Roger Murphy through the years and always had a great time when together. He loved seeing his friends and old students while spending time with his best buddy Frank at L&S. He will always be known for his huge smile and lighthearted humor.
