Robert Jones

Reidsville- Robert Ray Miller Jones, 69, of 276 River Run Drive, went home to be with The Lord on Monday, January 5th, 2015, at his home. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, January 8, 2015, at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville with Rev. Joe Chandler officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening one hour prior to the service at the funeral home starting at 6:00 PM. There will be a private interment on Friday at Evergreen Memory Gardens. Mr. Jones was a native of Rockingham County and was the son of the late, Eliza Miller Harris. He was formerly employed with Somers Sheet Metal as a welder, a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church and a committed Christian. Robert was a loving husband, father and grandfather and one of his favorite hobbies was fishing. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Jesse Johnson. Survivors include his wife, Ella Johnson Jones of the home; his children, Lisa Jones Allred of Greensboro and Jason Jones of Reidsville; grandchildren, Bailey, Austin, Jordan, Raychel and Nathan; sister, Dorothy Bailey of Greensboro; sister-in-law, Beverly Johnson; special aunts and uncles, Helen Holt, Martha Bowman and husband, Marvin, Joanne Southard and husband, Joe and Bill Miller and wife, Maryanna; and several nieces and nephews.
