Brown Summit: Robert "Bob" Franklin Owen, 69, of 7344 Sun Harbor Drive, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2012 at Moses Cone Hospital.A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM on Monday, February 20, 2012 at Apple's Chapel Christian Church with Rev. Allen Myers officiating. Pallbearers will be the church softball team. The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home.Bob was born in Rockingham County to the late Frank and Mary Barker Owen and was a retiree of Sherwin Williams. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of Apple's Chapel Christian Church. He enjoyed gardening, college basketball, pro baseball and working puzzles. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Owen; son, Brandon Maser and wife, Angie; grandchildren, Katlyn Maser and Landon Maser; sister-in-law, Janet Andrews; brother-in-law Don Andrews and wife, Sharon and mother-in-law Madeline Andrews.Memorial contributions may be made to Apple's Chapel Christian Church, 7345 Hwy 61 N, Gibsonville, North Carolina 27249.Wilkerson Funeral Home is assisting the family and condolences may be sent to the family at www.wilkersonfuneral.com
