Reidsville – Robert Henry Page, 90, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Happy Home Congregational Church with Rev. Bruce McBride officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Page was born in Rockingham County to the late Jack and Carrie Smith Page. He was a tobacco farmer all of his life and was also retired from Isometrics. He was a longtime and faithful member of Happy Home Congregational Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. His family was his life. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Ivie Lipford Page; his brothers, Shirley, William and his twin brother, Edward Page; his sisters, Kate Dyer, Etta Collins, Janie Strader, Sallie Ann Mills, Lettie Ellington, Bertha Powell and Mae Ellington; and his grandsons, Jason H. Page and Leonard G. “Len” Martin, Jr.
He is survived by his daughter, Gail Martin and husband, Leonard of Ruffin; his sons, Robert Lee “Bob” Page and partner, Dale of Greensboro; Hunter Page and wife, Brenda of Ruffin and James Page and wife, Nancy of Clarksburg, VA; 7 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Doris Page of Ruffin; and a large extended family.
The family will receive friends Monday evening at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 PM other times at Hunter and Brenda’s home (1130 Guerrant Springs Road in Ruffin).
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Page’s special caregivers, Fondra Finney, Shelby Smith and Carrie Smith.
