Robert Carlton Pearman

Robert Carlton Pearman, 81, passed away on December 31, 2022 at his residence in Boone, NC. 

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 2 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens.

Robert was born on July 8, 1941 in the Bethany Community. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandad. He was a lifetime Rockingham Co. resident and then spent his retirement years with his wife, Teresa in Boone, NC. Robert was known for his cooking and loved sharing that with those around him. He loved watching golf and enjoyed making people laugh with his candor.

He was an avid Appalachian State fan, from which he graduated in 1964.  He was never seen not wearing his Black and Gold. He spent his life career working at the American Tobacco Company as the Assistant Superintendent. He was a dedicated Dad to Heidi and Christy and proud grandfather to their kids. 

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Laura Edna Pearman and Thomas Walter Pearman. 

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Pearman; children, Christy Kubis (Gregg Kubis) and Heidi Cox (Russ Cox); Step-children, Memory Thornton and Melody Willard; grandchildren, Chase Kubis (Christy), Lilly Cox (Heidi), Connor Kubis (Christy) and Rowen Cox (Heidi); step-grandchildren, Aiden Thornton, Teryn Thorton, Heaven Willard and Holden Willard; brother, Harold Pearman (Sandra) and sister, Shirley Hunter; along with several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
