Robert Jeffery Southard

Reidsville:   Robert Jeffery Southard, 49, of 231 Lick Fork Lane, passed away Monday, February 4, 2008 at Annie Penn Hospital. There will be a private service at a later date. Robert was born in Rockingham County to the late Billy Eugene Southard, Sr. and Hacie Marie Benfield Southard.   He enjoyed racing, working in the yard and was a humorous and joyful person.   He will always be in our hearts.   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Mark and Gary Southard. He is survived by his brothers, Ronald Rakes and wife, Teresa of Madison; Stephen D. Rakes and wife, Joyce and Billy Southard and wife, Paige of Reidsville; sister, Debra Bateman and husband, Derwood of Elon and several nieces and nephews.
