Reidsville – Robert Wayne ”Shorty” Patterson , 48, of 8891 NC 87, died on Monday, March 9, 2009, at his home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Phillip M. Luster, Tony Dockery, J.J. Patterson, Gary Chilton, Frank Mitchell and Lee Fox. Shorty was born in Rockingham County to Henry Jack and Frances Kelly Patterson and was of the Baptist faith. Along with his parents he is survived by his daughters, Kelly Rose Patterson and Thea H. Finout; sisters, Joyce Patterson and Linda Patterson King and husband, Phillip; brother, Jay Patterson and wife, Lisa; niece, Brilin Williams; nephews, Phillip Luster, J.J. Patterson, and Tony “Mark” Dockery, Jr.; special friend, Carlene Camacho; uncle, Eugene Patterson; aunts, Margaret Carter and Helen Denny. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 10th from 6-8 PM . Other times the family will be the home of Jay Patterson, 170 Penny Lane, Reidsville.
