Robert Williams

Reidsville- Robert “Bob” Williams, 78, of 1521 Pearman Street, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014 at Moses Cone Hospital. Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM on Tuesday August 5, 2014 at Church of the Living God Cemetery on Pecan Road with Rev. Pete Hutchens officiating. Robert was born in Rockingham County to the late Lester and Vivian Alderman Williams. He was a retiree of Harris Teeter and Richards Meats and a deacon and member of Church of the Living God. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Alvis Williams and father-in-law, Paul Moore. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Peggie Williams; daughter Tracy Purgason and husband, Darrell; son, Mickey Williams and wife, Alicia; grandchildren, Joey Purgason, Brooke Purgason, Rose Williams and Conner Williams; brothers, James Williams, Larry Williams and Doug Williams and wife, Christine; mother-in-law, Madelyn Moore; sister-in-law, Norma Ingle and husband, Henry and brother-in-law, Steve Moore and wife Nancy. There will not be a formal visitation but the family will receive friends at the home.
