Robin Elaine Hutchins Ford

Robin Elaine Hutchins Ford, 62, of Madison went home to be with the Lord, on Sunday, August 8, 2021, at Hospice of Rockingham County.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville with Pastor Kennon officiating, burial will follow the service at Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends, Tuesday evening from 5-7PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Robin was born on November 6, 1958 to the late Reverend James H. Hutchins and Minnie Cass Hutchins. She was a life-long member of New Beginning Baptist Church and from a young age, played piano and would sing often at the church. Robin will be remembered for her fun loving, playful attitude and her ability to “talk junk”, as well as her willingness to help anyone in need. She loved all animals, especially dogs, and loved spending time with her family and friends. Robin will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Theresa Cohen and Delorise Horn, brothers, William Charles and Hubert Gray.

Robin is survived by her husband, Dennis Joe Ford; daughters, Christina Gainey and Jamie Silva; step-daughters, Sharon Ford and Lisa Vincent; grandchildren, Johnathan McBride, Cecilia Silva, Tiara Joyner, and Makinzie DeHart; great-grandchild, Violett Elaine Thacker; sisters, Brenda Johnson, Bonnie Hardy, Helen Faucette, and Gladys Champion in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
