Roger James Gauldin, 72, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2020.
A Private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Roger was born to the late Silas and Mary Gauldin in Danville Virginia. He was a Vietnam Veteran and served his country in the US Army. After leaving the army he worked as a mechanic, eventually retiring from his own fork lift mechanic business, Southern Star Truck Service. Roger enjoyed fishing, as well as writing and playing country music with his guitar. Most of all he loved his family and he will be greatly missed.
Along with his parents, Roger is preceded in death by, two half brothers, Jack and John Hupp as well as his older brother Richard Gauldin.
He is survived by his daughter, Gloria Gail Korineck and husband, Chuck; brothers, Jesse Gauldin, Zane Gauldin and wife Lori; sister, Ora Kelly Gauldin; grandson, Randall Whitlock and special cousin, Kenneth Williams along with numerous nieces, nephews and a loving extended family.
