Ronald Eugene Jones

Ronald Eugene Jones, 83, of Reidsville was received into the arms of Jesus on January 27, 2025. A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Evergreen Memory Gardens with Pastor Wayne Robertson officiating. The family will receive friends briefly after the service and other times at the home. 

Ronnie was born in Rockingham County to the late John and Pauline Jones. He retired from American Tobacco Company and loved deep-sea fishing, car shows, NASCAR, restoring cars and cruise-ins. He loved traveling with his wife and never missed a family cookout. Ronnie was also a church elder and was always willing to serve wherever needed. He was a proud grandfather who loved spending time with his family and was a lifelong member of Greenwood Presbyterian Church. Ronnie was also a big fan of Dale Earnhardt, Richard Petty, the Atlanta Braves, and the Carolina Tar Heels.

In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his sister, Carol S. Jones. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Barbara Jones, and their children: Ronald Edward Jones and his wife, Kim; Kathi Jones Solomon and her husband, Jimmy; Cathy Stadler and her husband, Vince; and Cheryl VanHoy and her husband, Ricky. Grandchildren include Rebecca Wiles and her husband, Brent; Bailey Jones; Eugene Wilson Brown IV; Luke Palmer Brown; Makayla Stadler and her husband, Nick Theyerl; and Seth VanHoy and Fiancé Brooke.
