Ronald Jackson Overby

Reidsville-Ronald Jackson Overby, 58, of 1741 Perkinson Road, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Annie Penn Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Wilkerson Funeral Home.Mr. Overby was born in Reidsville, North Carolina to the late Robert "Jack" and Beulah Evans Overby. He attended Mayfield Baptist Church and was a farmer his whole life. He was an avid fisherman and nurseryman with his own greenhouses. He also loved playing his guitar. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his four infant children; his brother, Elmer Lee Overby and his sister, Evelyn Overby Light.Survivors include his wife, Doris "Jackie" Thomas Overby; his son, Bradley Jackson Overby both of the home; brothers, Karl Duane Overby and wife, Jeanette of Ruffin and Gerald William Overby of Ruffin; sister-in-law, Rosa Fuqua Overby of Ruffin and Margaret Overby of Eden; brother-in-law, Larry Light of Pelham, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Monday, October 10 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and other times at the home.
