Ronald Wayne Talley

Reidsville - Ronald Wayne Talley, 69, of 504 Stokes Road, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Wesley Long Hospital. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, February 13, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. Ron Boswell officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.Ronald was born in Rockingham County to the late Charlie and Lillian Durham Talley. He was a retired employee of NPC and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He and his family spent many years working at the Chinqua Penn Plantation. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his son, George C. Swain III.Survivors include his wife, Marie Atkinson Talley of the home; son Jon Swain; grandchildren, Krista Swain and Joshua Swain; sisters, Marion Pyrtle and husband, Houstin and Lois Gammon and husband, Ken all of Reidsville; brother, Dwight Talley of Winston Salem; nephews, Terry Duke and wife, Jana, Tyler Duke and wife, Lynn, Ben Duke and Gary Pyrtle and wife, Marcy; nieces, Phyllis Cayton and husband, Dean, Laurie Pyrtle and Amy Talley. The family will see friends on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6-8 PM and other times at the home.
